FFM is committed to conducting business in a safe and environmentally sustainable manner. We strive to create a healthy and safe workplace as we believe that injuries and incidents are preventable and no job is so important that it cannot be done safely and without adverse environmental impact. Our aim is to have zero incidents and minimum environmental impact. Therefore, we operate with greatest care for the health and safety protection for our people and stakeholders, the environment we operate in and the communities we engage with.

To achieve this, we make concerted efforts throughout our operations to create sustainable, healthy and safe work environments in accordance with the following key work Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) principles:

1. Regulatory Compliance

Conducting our operations in compliance with all applicable EHS legal requirements, standards, established policies, procedures, codes of practice and industry standards;

2. Environment, Health & Safety Protection

To protect our environment, people and stakeholders, we strive to provide and maintain healthy, safe and environmentally sustainable workplace and methods of work through continuous hazards and environmental aspect identification, risk assessment and implementing risk controls to prevent illness, injury, and minimizing environmental impacts.

3. Environmental Sustainability

Operate responsibly and seek to reduce adverse environmental impacts from our operations, preventing pollution, improving energy and water efficiency, reducing waste and boosting resource productivity.

4. EHS Management System & Performance

Continuously improve and enhance EHS management system and performance by establishing metrics to monitor EHS performance against targets, using the results to strive towards hazard reduction, elimination of illness and injury; prevention of pollution, promotion of resource, energy and water efficiency; training, knowledge sharing, lessons learned and best practices throughout the Group.

Actively encourage accurate reporting of all EHS incidents and hazardous conditions, to ensure that appropriate plans can be formulated to take corrective and/or preventive actions.

5. Stakeholder Engagement

Ensuring that our people, customers, contractors, visitors, the community and all relevant stakeholders are appropriately involved through consultation and participation.
